      ABOUT Pitchie

      Pitchie affectionately called "Peachy"

Public Servant | Policy Advocate | Community Leader

Pitchie Escarment is a lifelong public servant, community advocate, and respected leader who has dedicated more than two decades to strengthening families, uplifting communities, and advancing justice throughout Miami-Dade County and across the Haitian diaspora.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Pitchie is the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants whose resilience and sacrifice shaped her unwavering commitment to service. From an early age, she recognized that advocacy, education, and civic engagement are powerful tools for transformation and she has spent her life putting those principles into action.

With over 20 years of public sector experience, Pitchie has built a distinguished career grounded in governance, accountability, and community protection. She served on the Miami Gardens Nuisance Abatement Board, where she played a key role in addressing public safety concerns and improving quality of life through policy-driven oversight. As State President of Haiti Diaspora 360, she has led statewide initiatives amplifying diaspora voices in public policy, civic participation, and international affairs. Her philanthropic work has brought together local, national, and global legal leaders to advance criminal justice reform and equitable immigration policies.

Pitchie currently serves as an elected State Committeewoman and President of the Democratic Haitian Caucus of Miami-Dade County, where she is widely recognized for her leadership in civic engagement, voter education, and policy advocacy. She has also served as Vice President of the Democratic Club of Miami-Dade County and as Public Relations Committee Chair for the Miami-Dade Democratic Black Caucus, strengthening outreach and elevating community voices.  A seasoned campaign strategist and grassroots organizer, Pitchie has contributed to numerous local, state, and national campaigns, including serving as a Field Organizer for the Harris/Walz campaign. Her work has focused on voter registration, mobilization, coalition building, and empowering immigrant, Black, and working-class communities.

She is the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical resources and advocacy for families in need, and the Founder and CEO of Trinity Consulting Firm, which focuses on restorative justice, reentry services, immigration advocacy, financial literacy, and leadership development.

Pitchie is also a fierce advocate for systemic reform, confronting a fragile and often disconnected civil, criminal, and governmental system that too often fails to communicate effectively resulting in the re-victimization of the very communities it is meant to serve. She has been outspoken about how these gaps allow systems to be misused as a sword rather than a shield, and she continues to fight for a more coordinated, transparent, and equitable framework that truly protects and empowers the people.

An accomplished public speaker and published author, Pitchie is a passionate advocate for women and youth. She mentors women locally and internationally and hosts annual women’s empowerment conferences in Miami-Dade County, creating spaces for healing, leadership, and transformation. Her advocacy also includes extensive work combating human trafficking, supported by advanced training through the St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump Center for Social Justice/FBI Human Trafficking Academy and participation in federal law enforcement symposiums.

Her humanitarian efforts span the globe, including work in Haiti, the Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Maarten, and Zimbabwe, where she has supported immigration initiatives, established ministries, and provided resources to underserved youth.  Pitchie holds an impressive academic background, including an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Miami-Dade College, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Florida International University, a Master of Education in Reading Literacy from Barry University, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Human Rights and Social Justice Law from St. Thomas University College of Law, where she served as an editor for the Human Rights Law Review. She has also completed theological studies at Liberty University.
